How to earn online through blogging in 2023 – it’s easier than you think!

Choosing what to blog about

Perhaps one of your friends or family members has asked you how you earn money writing a personal finance blog. While I can’t go into specifics here, there are several ways you can profit from your expertise as a blogger. One way is to write sponsored posts for a company; another is affiliate marketing (which we’ll get into later on). If that still doesn’t appeal to you, another option is doing brand deals and product reviews. My favorite one of these was a full-size mattress from Latexco that I got for free in exchange for me and my family sleeping on it for 30 days, then writing about our experience.

What’s your niche?

Successful bloggers tend to focus on topics they’re passionate about. Look at your hobbies, education, professional life, and interests; there may be some opportunities for a new career in an area you already know something about. If not, figure out what kind of content resonates with you and your audience, then look into how else you can make money doing it—even if that means starting another business on top of your day job.

Creating a content calendar

The most common question I get from people who want to start a business is: how do I make money? That’s a very broad question, of course. For an answer that applies specifically to bloggers, let’s narrow things down. The simple truth is that if you want to earn money from your writing, there are only two ways: advertising and affiliate marketing. There are no other options, though other revenue streams can certainly be associated with those two revenue generators (for example, if your site has a large enough following you could sell e-books or other products). Of those two ways of earning money directly from your content, affiliate marketing is by far the easiest and most beneficial for new bloggers because all it requires is plugging in links on your site.

Optimizing Your Site for Search Engines

SEO is short for search engine optimization and is about making your site as easy as possible for search engines like Google to understand. Google rewards relevant content, so a good SEO strategy ensures that you’re providing a focused experience for users—which also helps them find your site more easily. There are two main factors in SEO: on-page SEO (within your website) and off-page SEO (on third-party sites). For on-page SEO, ensure that titles and headings are clear and concise; optimize images with captions; make sure alt text is descriptive; use subheadings; avoid keyword stuffing; use anchor text when linking internally or externally; include high-quality original content.

Growing Your Email List

As a blogger, your email list is one of your most valuable assets. While social media can be a great way to keep in touch with readers and drive traffic back to your site, an email list is different. An email list means that whenever you have something new coming out, subscribers can opt-in for early notification, making them much more likely to read and share your content. Plus, an email subscriber is someone who’s demonstrated they like what you have to say—because they’ve asked for it.

Nurturing Relationships with Readers

Readers don’t just come out of nowhere. If someone subscribes to your RSS feed or finds your page through Google, you’ve got a chance to grab their attention and turn them into a regular reader. If they love what they read, chances are that they’ll be back for more—and, if so, some will even subscribe via email. The relationship doesn’t end there: Ask for feedback regularly.

Being active on social media is important in today’s business world. This can be done by blogging, pinning, tweeting, and more. No matter what kind of company you run or how advanced your campaign is, always keep your social media presence fresh and active with fresh and relevant content for better results. There are many ways you can earn online through blogging on social media sites, such as making money off of ads placed on your posts and links that direct viewers to other web pages.
